Put a little bling in to your life...

It seems that when I have had one or two orders of similar styles it somehow draws people to order more of that style. It is strange how that happens.
Last week I got exactly the same order from 2 different people. Both wanted double 3 wave black bracelets, although they have the same size wrists they did want different sizes.

Right after the double black wraps the next order was another double but in this case a double blue west coast and a woman bought... you guessed it... a black double 4 wave when I was working in the Nord Living shop last saturday.

These bracelets had also been made for Nord Living...

Double blue 3 wave with heart, single 3 waves in red, blue and turquoise, double 4 wave black.

The bling in the West coast order sparked off some more bling orders... how does this happen?

But I don't mind... I just make and enjoy!

Here are the rest of the bling bracelets...

 Blue Polaris with bohemian crystals
Khaki polaris with sterling silver 4mm pearls
Double vintage brown polaris with alternating swarovski and sterling silver 4mm pearls

Black west coast with sterling silver 2.5mm pearls

Tan double wrap with sterling silver 2.5mm pearls
Now I am going to continue my order of something complete different.... chunky cuffs and thinner bracelets in plain leather for Promenade shop. This is what I love, I get to do so many different things <3

Summer in Sweden, winter Down Under...

As I see the beautiful summer photos posted on Fb and Instagram a little piece of longing stirs. June is a time for students to graduate, summer holiday plans in the making, national celebration day and midsummer before the population go on their summer vacation.

Here I have noticed this with a few bracelets that have been ordered and sent off to Sweden as graduation presents. It really makes me happy, to be able to make something very Swedish in Australia to send to Sweden.

Here is a photo of the last lot of orders that have been sent off...not all to Sweden though :)

The double heart is not purple as it looks a bit like here in the photo, but more of a jeans colour with a tinge of purple to it.

I so wish that I could be in Sweden right now, seeing how it has come alive with flowers, greenery, happy people as they know that soon they are off on a vacation and they can enjoy the beautiful summer days Sweden can offer... if it is a good summer that is.

The winter here is though very gorgeous, a little chilly in the mornings but it usually has cleared up and with the sun out, the days here are just lovely too. Yesterday a top of 18C, pretty good for a winter day I think..and what better to do when you are chilly....TEA .mmmmmm

The next 2 photos represent me. One is of our beautiful flag and the Swedish Sami bracelets that I have made for the Swedish National Day.
I believe that All Swedes in Sweden should celebrate the Swedish National Day as it represents everyone in Sweden, whether you have been born there or immigrated. It should not have anything to do with politics, religion etc. Swedes (everyone) should be proud of their heritage, their chance of living in such a beautiful country and we should still be able to do this as well as to welcome those who have chosen to make Sweden their home.. And to stop an outrage of people commenting on how the flag now represent a few right winged warped people and anyone waving the Swedish flag or celebrating the national Day must belong to that group, I have added my Fb profile pic with the sign Vi gilla Olika (We Like Difference) as I am 100% supportive on a multicultural society with everyone living together under humanitarian terms. No one is better and no one is worst
I could probably go on and on here, but it scares me of the conflicts in Sweden and other parts of Europe I hear of and read.

So here is the pic I posted on Fb for the national celebration day...

Packaging, what to do...

Labeling, logo, packaging of these bracelets are all so overwhelming on which direction to turn to!
Boxes? Bags? Stickers or tags? Sooo many questions!
For my wide bracelets I will have to have something wider and higher. Was thinking something like this...

Whilst looking for suitable, not expensive boxes, I am having a little play with label stickers. This s definitely not the end product, just having a play...
I also have to start thinking about putting my logo or name on the actual bracelets too... Wish it was solo much easier! These labels for the product as well as for the packing also have to be able to be used for the purses and clutches that I am in the process of designing, which is making the procedure even more mind boggling.

Anyway, here is a photo of my last design and a turquoise heart double wrap with a 3 wave that should be with its new owner today or monday.

Now off to the lovely shop, Promenade bags, in Black Rock to pick up leather bits for more bracelets. The wide clasp bracelets and her bags have the same leather so it is such a great idea to match bag and cuff :)

Because we appreciate our Mums...

I love mother's day, especially when the children get so excited and make their own things to me. Breakfast in bed, no chores or dirty nappies, just a lot of love and being with my family...a fantastic and appreciated time.
I know we should show all the people we love and care about how we appreciate them everyday, but it is nice to have a special day... without celebrating becoming yet another year older.
I would be lying if I said I only appreciate the hand made things by my children. They are price less! But I do, like most people, like other gifts too.

So for those of you that don't have young kids making things... older kids tend to have grown out of that stage... I have decided that all the bracelets with a heart on it will be sold with a 25% off RRP.
I do have certain stock already available, but if you do want something made up the last day to place an order is sunday 4th of May. I should then be able to have it made for you and sent off on wednesday for a certain friday delivery.
If you are a local (Melbourne), then the last day for ordering is tuesday 6th of May for a pick up at Nordliving 220 Clarendon St. south Melbourne on the saturday 10th of May only.
Here are some sample photos of the most recent heart bracelets...
Below is the heart with a 3 wave in khaki.
Measurement; just short of 18cm

Below is a double wrap in 3 wave with the heart.
Would suit a person who would wear a 17cm bracelet.

Below is a red heart bracelet, also with the 3 wave braiding.
Would suit a small wrist size as it has a measurement of 16,5cm.

The Middle left, black with North Star design, is also available right now.
Measurement; 17.5cm

To all the Mothers, Grand Mothers, Aunties, those with Mothers who past on...
I take my hat off to each of you and send you lots of love this coming Mother's Day <3

My own new colour scheme stack...finally

As I make things for others I really want to have time to make myself some. Well, these school holidays I finally did! And surprise surprise... it has nothing to do with the colour blue. I have really fallen for the neutral khaki and stone colours, which has really surprised me, and I always loooove red so what is better than these?...

I love having either the words love or faith on my heart bracelets. The blue one I have made myself has the word love on it. I probably will have to make another colour heart bracelet with the word 'believe'...maybe in vintage brown??...

To my lovely sparkly Mamma...

These are made with lots of love for my Mamma, who lives in Sweden. Like these bracelets, she is full of life and sparkle. I know for sure she will be wearing these when she is off dancing so that the light will catch these 'bling' bracelets. 'I would love a little bit of bling' she said.
So I give these a kiss and send them off to her, in that way she has a bit of me with her. Two years between visits is very long and for all 6 of us to be able to go to Sweden will most likely sadly have to wait awhile.

Love you mum!!

Another happy post of new stockists of Swede Little Things...

So here comes the last two (hoping only for now) boutique shops to start stocking Swede Little Things bracelets.
One is again in Tasmania...third one so far... but in beautiful Hobart. It is called In Esse and has picked out a diverse range of bracelets, but bling and stand out bracelets have really been the aim of these.
These are the blue and white story...

Here we have their browns / neutrals...

And lastly, their black story...

That was for In Esse... now there is another boutique shop in Flinder, Victoria called Flinders Shed.
They have opted for the more traditional range with shed antler buttons as their clasps. I love it how each range for each stockists is unique and suits their type of shop and customers.
Here are Flinders Shed's range...

As you can see, they have the traditional 3 wave and 4 wave in very neutral colours (and no black) as well as the Stockholm design in vivid red and navy. The navy has a blue (slighter lighter shade than the navy) through it.
