Life in Style very soon...

This will be the last blog before I am off to Sydney with the mighty team from Nordliving :)
The trade show will be held from thursday to sunday this week and if you have a map of the stands at the trade show, please have a look out for Nord Living and Nordic Designs. I will split my time up between the bracelets at Nord Living stand and helping out my friend at her Nordic Designs stand. Lucky they are very close to each other.

These are the last few that I will make before packing everything...
Black reindeer leather 3 wave with Zamak hook in clasp bracelet.
Zamak silver heart slider within a black reindeer leather bracelet with North star braiding on the sides. Also with a Zamak silver hok in clasp, although 1.25cm instead of 1cm width.
Black reindeer leather bracelet with bohemian crystals in a Polaris design. The clasp is a Zamak magnetic silver clasp. Width is 1cm.

The last one is of the Gällivare design in tan reindeer leather. There is a fine Polaris braiding with Swarovski faceted round crystals in the middle with modified 4 wave braids on either sides, followed by thin 3 wave braids. These Gällivare bracelets can be made with any types of braids and you are welcome to design your own unique one.
They are 3cm wide with a Zamak silver magnetic  clasp.

Seeing double...

I can't believe the heat we have down in Melbourne lately...when is it going to be 'nice'? Yesterdays 44C really isn't productive for getting everything ready for the Life inStyle trade show in Sydney next week. Very slippery fingers on that needle :(

Here are 3 double wrap bracelets what will accompany me to the trade show. I have to say that these styles are the most popular of all the double wraps, but I have a feeling the ones with the heart will soon share that with them.

Hard to get the right exposure and true colour to this double red 3 wave bracelet. the one below is a loved worn one. You can definitely see how nice the age.

This is a black 4 wave black double bracelet
Willow designs do best in double wraps. Here in a tan reindeer leather.
Below is how it looks in the vintage brown, both which ages really nicely too.

The three doubles together <3

Now to continue my orders and finish off a new black polaris with the new Bohemian crystals and another wide Gällivare....with Swarovski pearls...a true stunner!

Getting ready with some new designs and variations...

So it is another hot week in Melbourne AGAIN! I have been busy trying to organize the bracelets that I will be displaying at the trade fare inSydney next month.
So here are a few photos...due to the shut down from the heat they are not the best photos I have taken.
These first 2 are in the Göta Kanal design, which has silver peter threading twists for borders and glass stones / sterling silver balls in the middle.
I do have an assortment of coloured glass pearls, hence would be able to make all sorts of colour combination bracelets.

The next are of a new Zamak silver clasp that I had previously ordered but not done anything with. It has a flat end on one side, continuing to a round side. These ones are made with kangaroo leather as it provides for a firm fit and it sits really nice on.

Second last is a blue variation to the previously white one that was done. It is a double wrap bracelet in reindeer leather, but instead of a Zamak silver hook in clasp it is a magnetic one. This style really looks nice in a silver clasp instead of the horn buttons.

Lastly.. I was about to write, but I already have a couple more that are new totally in design waiting to be photographed... and they of course bear the silver heart slider :)
However, this one is a blue variation to the Gällivare design as well as wide plain kangaroo bracelet s in white and red.

Soon there will be a tan with Bohemian crystals as well as a vintage brown bling bracelet...just love these.
Hope you all in Melbourne can stay cool...let's pray for some cooler weather, it is not easy to sew with sweaty hands ha ha.
Cheers

Days after the trade show...

Wow, what a fantastic trade show in such a beautiful building! So prefer being there rather than the showgrounds, no comparison!

I think the beautiful building reflected on the people, both exhibitors and retailers as everyone that I came into contact with seems to have been all smiles and with a positive energy.

I found my favourite jeweller there; Wise Jewellery which I first discovered at the Rocks market in Sydney. My birthday ring I bought there I wear everyday and it just gets nicer.
Another exhibitor that I loved was Vivid Elements with her beautiful and colourful glassware, especially the gorgeous red glass lamp!

So now comes the days to process orders, follow up on interests and get down to serious sewing :) I like!

Here are some photos from the show

Scandinavian Hits at the trade show.

There seems to be quite a Scandinavian flair at the Life inStyle trade show in Melbourne, apart from the many Australian made / designed of course.
Swedish design and made porcelain jewellery, Sägen, has really taken the show by storm at the Nord Living stand. These unique pieces, are made from well know porcelain sets like Mona Mi, Berså etc... I think many of you will recognise the familiar and gorgeous patterns.

Isn't the Mona Mi patterned bracelet (bottom left corner) just beautiful!

Other products that are represented by Nord Living at the show is the Finnish company, Lipponia, and their lovely woollen products like this red cape, as well as the Swedish company Sandgrens Clogs.
Here is a picture from their stand.

Of course Swede Little Things are also represented there... so for those who are thinking of going to the trade show (not open for the general public) come upstairs to stand 9010 and say hello...on sunday I will be there :)

The picture to the right is the salmon leather bracelet. I have a sample of some of the colours available in the salmon. The wolffish sample chart has not yet been finished unfortunately.
Remember, all orders made at the show gets a 10% discount.

Stay warm and hope to see you there on Sunday :)

Life in Style...

For anyone who is part of the wholesale and retail world you most likely would know what the Life in Style trade expo is. For those who don't it is a huge trade expo with all different wholesalers showing their fabulous items such as clothing, jewellery, accessories, design and furniture etc etc.
Swede Little Things will be there as part of the family run Nordliving together with some beautiful porcelain jewellery (Sagen) and lots and lots of Sandgren's clogs!

Make sure you come and visit the Nord Living stand if you are planning to come this week. Oh yes, of course.... Thursday to Sunday at Melbourne Race course, but you will need to be part of the trade as it isn't opened for the general public.

I will be there on Sunday as on Saturday I will be part of the retail team at Nordliving shop in South Melbourne and the two days before that, well I have my little darlings... don't really need to add more there.
I am really looking forward to it, although it is somewhat nerve wrecking as your heart and soul of what you love and have created is out there ready for everyone to see... and hopefully love enough to place orders for their shops.

So I still have my sign and flyers to finish off and print but I am going to finish this post with a quick look at the latest updated sign (which most likely will be changed many more times till I am totally happy with that).
